ok, my english is bad , i like wikka , i have many problem for instalation in lycos.
For local instalation in my Computer no problems.

The problem is instalation http/usuarios.lycos.es/clanbed , is not a posible to instalation.

Is a posible a manual for free host lycos for dummys???

wikka installed in a subdirectory is dificult for me. i read the solution in mod_rewrite , i not understund. We are a many people with pages in server lycos free hosting.

Help, I have problem it everything so that it starts in lycos and there is no way, I take but of 1 month proving, I am idiot, I am new, if somebody can help me, with the explanation for subdirectories, that is what we have 80% of people JW, thank you very much, I watching your pages and this so interesting project

My first guess would be, that Lycos doesn't support mod_rewrite, so turning off the mod_rewrite-mode in wikka (and deleting the .htaccess) could help already.

Have you tried the workaround outlined on BlankPageWorkaround ?
I looked at a few pages on your site and there are many display problems that seem to be caused by lycos adding a banner at the top of the page (in a stupid way that makes the HTML invalid, too - can't they just look for a body tag and insert after that???).
I think the BlankPageWorkaround will probably solve (most of) your page display problems.

In this moment My web is ok 90% excepte , two pages :

I so crazzy, FormattingRules , missing the foot , and look no good.
and PageIdex is a rare look the foot is in the midle of the page.
in this moments only two problems for my pages .
It a possible to repair ?????? this two pages ???

I looked at you r pages again with both Mozilla and Internet Explorer. They actually look OK in the latter, but in Mozilla there are layout problems as a result of the Lycos inserted code at the start of the page (illegal HTML). If you're using Firefox you should have the same problems. It _may_ be possible to work around some of that with the Wikka stylesheet - I'll have to investigate.

(But *every* user of Lycos.es - and maybe othernLycos systems as well - will have similar display problems in standards-compliant browsers - not just Wikka - because the system is consistently causing totally invalid HTML; I'd start lobbying Lycos for using a more standards-compliant way of inserting ads!)

OK, the following simple CSS fix should solve most display problems:
- edit /css/wikka.css
- find the entry for .page
- at the end this has the rule: height: 100%;
- change this to: height: auto;

Please let us know if that helps.
