It seems it's the PageTitle function in Wikka 1.1.6.2.
Am I wrong?

Yes, the method is called PageTitle() but we use to refer to the end-user feature as "smart titles".

Smart titles are a really great feature. I would like to adapt this to extract the first bit of the first paragraph of a page to generate the meta description for the page but am not sure how to do it. Would this work?

Devs, interesting side effect: Have a look at the title of http://wikkawiki.org/SlideshowHandler -- see, what I mean?

DinizDiniz, yes, I think you can easily modify the regex to extract a snippet of the page on top of the title.
Masin, thanks for reporting this. It's a known limitation of the SmartTitle functionality, basically we should be able to hide parts of a page that should not be parsed. I think this will be feasible in the context of the a new approach to the formatter we are currently discussing. Would you please open a ticket with this issue? Thanks!

DarTar, where does this discussion occur? Although I would greatly like to comment on your ideas, don't worry, I'll refrain from it :-). I'm just interested in what's going to happen to Wikka.
