Hello Wikka people, great to discover your wiki set! i really like the double click edit feature, and the formatting is nice and easy. Have started using it over at http://prace.vic.edu.au/pd/game for a research project write up.

.. i've got so many questions to ask; Now i find there are so many extra things i want to do, like include php directly (which is why i came to this page, but didn't find) to build and include a menu on the fly (i saw something called a menulet which i'll try and work out)

.. change the header and footer to include my own menu ..

and i really want an RSS feed that includes the whole paragraph, not just the edit note - perhaps i'll have to build one manually. anyway, cheers guys, great stuff and thank you, micahel

Hi Micahel (is this the correct spelling?) and welcome to Wikka. Why don't you register and create your own userpage to share and discuss your ideas? (Unlike commebt, pages can be searched, edited, linked and refactored).
As for your questions:

1. For security reasons, Wikka doesn't allow inclusion of php code in the page body. Wikka actions are a safe and simple way to extend the default functionality. Just write your code, save it with a meaningful name and drop it in the actions folder to make it usable in the wiki.

2. The current (beta) code at http://wikka.jsnx.com/WikkaMenus lets you create and edit not only a header/footer menu but as many custom menus as you like, which you can style through CSS.

3. Making more content/metadata available through RSS is something I'd also like to see. You might want to take a look at some ideas in this direction at: http://wikka.jsnx.com/SyndicatingWikka

Hi guys!

I'm wondering how to add music to my wikka site. I've tried to embed it in but it doesn't seem to work. Has this been disabled by SafeHTML? Any suggestions on how to do this??

Many thanks

John

Hi John,

it depends on what you mean by "embedding music". The list of bad tags stripped by SafeHTML can be found here: http://wikkawiki.org/SafeHTML

Thanks for the quick response. I've tried to have music play automatically as the page is loaded by using this HTML script: ""<embed src="http://www.psychogeneve.ch/ihl/files/minibrass.mp3" autostart="false" loop="false" volume="60"/>"". It is on the list of bad tags. Any ideas how I can work arround it?

You can either modify /3rdparty/core/safehtml/classes/safehtml.php, line 46 or disable SafeHTML from your config file.
