What tool/s did you use to generate the videos?

These are, by far, the best introduction to the world of Wiki that I've seen, and a great way to sell people on Wikka. Good work.

Thanks for the nice words :) The clips were created on a Mac using Snapz Pro X (it's commercial software but with a free demo).

Your welcome. I don't use a Mac, so yeah...

I love the idea of the instruction videos! Many people like to learn from videos (though personally, I don't), so it's useful to have them.

But I tried two, and found them very blurry, with text only barely readable. The second one I tried, linking to a mind map, I saw things "happening" but really got no idea how to do it.
Should there be a soundtrack explaining the steps? If so, I don't hear anything. :(

Marjolein, I'm having some problems too with the latest QT version (blurry videos and a very annoying green screen while downloading the file). When I have time, I'll upload a new version of the clips with a different filter/compression.

No soundtrack, yet, I didn't want to scare our users with my Italian accent ;p

DarTar,
I don't think your Italian accent is all that frightening. ;-) But as an alternative, is there any way to add captions or text boxes then? Such as "first double click the whoopsie link" and then show the action?

I'm afraid there is no straightforward way to add captions. Also adding an audio track might be tricky - the software I was using is merely a screen capture utility.

Should the YouTube video links be added to this page as well? For those who don't want to deal with Quicktime and downloading :)
