The [[CreditsPage Wikka Dev Team]] has recently decided to parcel out this release from the main development line of [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/milestone/1.1.7 1.1.7]] to address a number of security issues. These include a [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/ticket/427 native PHP bug]] (i.e. not a Wikka bug) affecting //any// PHP application running on **PHP<5.2**, that was brilliantly patched thanks to the joint efforts of the Wikka and [[http://qbnz.com/highlighter/ GeSHi]] developer teams.
The list of potential security issues addressed in 1.1.6.3 is available on [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/query?milestone=1.1.6.3 this page]].
Wikka users are strongly recommended to upgrade to 1.1.6.3, once the stable release is out. Testers for release candidates are welcome. Bugs and issues should be reported via the [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/ Wikka tracker]] using ##.1.6.3-rc1## as version.

Because of the change in the default [[ACLInfo ACL]], after a fresh install you will need to login using your Admin username in order to edit a page.
