**1.1.6.3-rc1** is a beta package and should not be used in a production environment. For the latest stable release (**1.1.6.3**) please refer to [[WhatsNew this page]].>>**[[WikkaReleaseNotes 1.1.6.3]]** is a minor security release. The [[CreditsPage Wikka Dev Team]] has recently decided to parcel out this release from the main development line of [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/milestone/1.1.7 1.1.7]] to address a number of security issues. These include a [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/ticket/427 native PHP bug]] (i.e. not a Wikka bug) affecting //any// PHP application running on **PHP<5.2**, that was brilliantly patched thanks to the joint efforts of the Wikka and [[http://qbnz.com/highlighter/ GeSHi]] developer teams.
The list of potential security issues addressed in 1.1.6.3 is available on [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/query?milestone=1.1.6.3 this page]].
Wikka users are strongly recommended to upgrade to 1.1.6.3, once the stable release is out. Testers for release candidates are welcome. Bugs and issues should be reported via the [[http://wush.net/trac/wikka/ Wikka tracker]] using ##1.1.6.3-rc1## as version number.
