Would it be possible for someone to add keyboard short cuts for monospace text, strike through text and centering? They don't need to be on the toolbar, but shortcuts would be nice. Just looking at the JS file quickly, I haven't even a clue where to start. :(

Also, my version of WikiEdit in the latest Wikka version (1.1.6.0) doesn't have the table(?) image on the toolbar (second from the right) and neither does the version running on this site, so the example image needs to be updated.

Nice System, i evaluated a lot of Wiki Systems. I ended up using this fine code on one site, BUT, Wikiedit crashes or does a lot of strange things (repeats 5x the pressed button function) if used in Safari 2.0 (412) on 10.4.1 "Tiger".

Please guys get this fixed.

Hi, and thanks for your feedback. The bug making WikiEdit crash with Safari has actually been reported (and confirmed) here: http://wikka.jsnx.com/WikkaBugs (search the page for "Safari"). We are going to include the latest version of WikiEdit (http://wackowiki.com/WikiEdit) in the next Wikka release. We'll test their new version and check if it addresses this issue. If the bug is not fixed, it should be notified to the WikiEdit developers.

Note that Safari doesn't crash with WikiEdit in my experience. At least not using the versions of Safari with 10.3.9 and 10.4.2.

Instead, pressing the return key within a WikiEdit field causes the content to be duplicated. So if you're adding text to a field and press the return key a couple times then the field suddenly fills up with massive amounts of duplicated text.

The "Help" button won't work on systems that do not have mod_rewrite enabled. To fix, open 3rdparty/plugins/wikiedit/wikiedit2.js in a text editor and modify line 111 to read:

+'onclick="this.className=\'btn-pressed\';window.open(base_url+\'wikka.php?wakka=FormattingRules\');" '

Hi,

I have used this successfully with previous versions of Wikkawiki. However when I started a new wiki (www.owenkelly.net) using 1.1.6.2 the text entry field in WikiEdit displays as only 3 lines deep, rendering it useless. I have a version running locally on XamppLte which has the same behaviour.

Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Hi Owen,

if you have just upgraded, it's probably a known caching problem. In 1.1.6.2 style settings for textarea have been moved to the stylesheets. If your CSS are customized, you'll need to add the new selectors, as detailed here:
